A Splash of Color

Art that makes a room feel alive.

Color is the fastest way to give a space character. Whether through a commissioned canvas, a thoughtfully hung gallery wall, or a handmade accent you crafted yourself — the right piece changes everything.

Commissioned for your space

Original artwork tailored to your palette, scale, and the feeling you want a room to hold. Patricia collaborates with you on color story, texture, and size — then sources or paints a piece that anchors the space.

  • Palette study — pulled from your existing finishes, textiles, and light.
  • Scale & proportion — sized to the wall, not the budget.
  • Mediums — acrylic, mixed media, textile, or framed photography.
  • Framing guidance — finishes that complement, not compete.
Art Placement

Hang it right the first time

Beautiful art on the wrong wall, at the wrong height, or in the wrong frame disappears. Placement is what makes the piece — and the room — sing.

Center line

Hang the visual center at 57–60″ — eye level for most rooms.

Above furniture

Leave 6–10″ between the top of the sofa and the bottom of the frame.

Scale to wall

Artwork should span roughly two-thirds the width of the furniture below.

Gallery walls

Plan on the floor first. Keep 2–3″ between frames for a tight, intentional grid.

Handmade touches that tell your story

You don't need a big budget to add character. A weekend project, a coat of paint, or a foraged branch in the right vessel can transform a corner.

Painted canvas trio

Three small stretched canvases, one accent color from your room, and a wide brush. Hang as a triptych for instant gallery polish.

Dried botanical frame

Press eucalyptus or palm between glass in a thin black frame — sculptural, seasonal, free.

Fabric-wrapped art

Staple a favorite textile around a wood stretcher for soft texture and a custom color story.

Color-blocked vases

Dip thrifted ceramics in matte paint — group in odd numbers for a curated still life.
